Credit Card Tips for Students
Hi, my name is Alexis Guererros. I'm a business consultant. Today I'm going to give you some tips on how to handle your credit cards if you're a student. Now, right around the time you join college, you're going to start to become financially free. You know that because you're going to be getting a lot of credit card offers in the mail. Now what you want to do is pick one that works for you and here's some tips on how to make sure that you actually build healthy credit versus negative credit. But you one, don't overspend. If you see something and you can't afford it, just because you have that credit card doesn't mean you can. If you don't pay that balance off a the end of each month, you're going to start to get more and more interest on the amount due. It's going to take you a very long time to pay that off. So what you've got to think about is what you really need all that important. Number two, pay your bill. Sounds simple but at the end of the month, whatever is owed, pay it in total. You're going to avoid interest and if you can't afford to pay it and you don't pay it on time, you're going to start to get some negative credit. You don't want that, which number three, pay on time. Good luck with that credit card.
